FREQUENCY INFORMATION

Frequency Description Comments
RI Random Interval Random interval data is considered data sampled at a frequency insufficient to reconstruct a continuous time series of the given data type, or parameter. For instance, weekly or monthly water quality samples are considered random data for these purposes, even though the sampling schedule may be somewhat regular. Quarterly tape-down measurements at groundwater wells may also fall into this random interval category. 15-minute data from other agencies may be stored as RI data.
