These partnerships can involve large and small ecosystem restoration projects, local flood control or water quality improvement efforts, regional water storage enhancements or local and regional water supply planning. Partnerships can be built on agreements to share expertise or data, to build specific projects, or to share staff or funding to accomplish mutual goals. They also often involve other state agencies, and can include federal partners.
Water Savings Incentive Program (SIP) - grant program for conservation projects that save water through technical applications, such as ultra-low-flow plumbing fixtures.
In many cases, staff from our Regional Service Centers (in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, the Keys, Stuart, Okeechobee, Orlando, Fort Myers and Naples) coordinate these partnerships, because they are very familiar with local issues and communities.
