Excerpts of Modeling Discussion from the 1994 Lower West Coast Water Supply Plan
The 2000 Water Supply Plan did not perform any new modeling, the Plan mentions on page 9 of the Planning Document, that modeling was performed in the previous Water Supply Plan (1994) and that demands and population numbers from that plan were similar to the 2000 plan. Since the 1994 Plan simulated a 1-in-10 drought and the same resource protection criteria that was used in 2000, the staff and the advisory committee "recognized the findings and conclusions of the 1994 LWC Water Supply Plan as still representative of the issues in meeting the LWC Planning Area's projected water demands for 2020, and the 1994 findings should be considered in the development of the 2000 Plan."
