A workshop was held June 8, 2007 with the Florida Department of Community Affairs for local government planners and utility department staff to provide assistance in complying with state laws. The following presentations were made:
Public participation and input for the 2005-2006 Lower West Coast Water Supply Plan Update was coordinated through the District's Water Resources Advisory Commission (WRAC). Since June 2004, nine workshops were held in the planning region to present information and receive public input on water resource issues. The workshops were open to the public and participation was strongly encouraged.
