Our regional water management system, with more than 2,600 miles of canals and levees, about 1,300 water control structures and 63 pump stations helps to protect regional water supplies and alleviate flooding.
While SFWMD staff work to keep the waterways, structures and levees that make up the regional water management system in top shape, the smaller local and community water management systems that flow into it also need to be properly maintained.
Keeping canal rights of way clear is everone's responsibility. Learn How You Can Help.
