Notes |
TMBR36A is a culvert constructed as part of the Picayune Strand Restoration Project Southwest Protection Features. The culvert will convey surface flow from Tamiami Canal southward under US 41 into Collier-Seminole State Park. After construction is completed, stop-logs will be installed to stop flow until back-filling is completed on the Miller Canal in the Picayune Strand Restoration Project. At that time, the stop logs can be removed. Sampling will be conducted by Earthology, LLC under contract with USACE in Tamiami Canal at TMBR36A for toxics (arsenic, chlordane, and DDE) in water, sediment, and fish tissue. Sampling frequency is one time in 2023, and then once again after the Southwest Protection Features are completed (2025). Analytical results will be reported to USACE and SFWMD for inclusion into DBHYDRO. Surface water stage data will also be collected in the future when TMBR36A becomes operational. |
