The C44RSTA is comprised of a 3,400 acre, 15-ft deep reservoir and approximately 6,300 acres of STA divided into six cells. The STA cells are designed to operate independently and to maintain a nominal water depth of 1.5-ft to support emergent vegetation. The reservoir and STA cells are intended to regulate the timing and improve the quality of fresh water delivered to the St. Lucie Estuary (SLE) and Indian River Lagoon. |
